After seven years of adding information to Family Historian I have at last started to write up my family history. I am using various reports and my family find 'resident in'too formal. They would prefer 'lived at.' Is there a formula that would allow me to do this?'Yours hopefully,Jen.

I presume you are talking about Narrative Reports and the Sentence Template.
So use Tools > Work with Fact Sets select the Residence Attribute and click Properties.
Change the Template to say lived instead of was resident.
Remember to backup your C:\ProgramData\Calico Pie\Family Historian folder to preserve this customised Standard Fact Set.
There are Backup Plugins to help you do this.

OK use {date} {individual} lived at {address} {_place} where either {address} or {_place} are optional.
Check the Help which should lead to the Template Codes where Place (with no prefix) {_place} is documented.
Also if you click on <<Insert Code this Place (with no prefix) option is listed.

I use the following slight variation so that 'at' doesn't appear by itself if there is no address:
Code: Select all
{date} {individual} lived <at {address}> {place} {age}
