Unwanted Source Number Attached To Individual Name

Post by BobWard » 13 Feb 2013 03:00

When generating a standard FH report, I am getting a source number attached to the individual's name.  The unwanted source number refers to a marriage citation.

I do not understand why this source number is getting attached to the individual's name.

Any ideas as to what is causing this?

Have you looked at the sources listed against either the Whole Record or the Name on the Property Box, is the source listed there? If so simply delete the citation.

If the Marriage was entered via AS, then AS has the option to add Source Citations to all Name changes or new Individuals derived from the Marriage Record.

See AS Tools > Options > General tab, centre bottom, and check the Help button.

Unwanted Source Number Attached To Individual Name

That was the problem, Jane.  Somehow the marriage document source got attached to the 'whole record'.  Don't know how I did that, although I am still on the learning curve for FH, so I probably did it without knowing what I was doing.

Thanks for the tip.

Bob
