* Multimedia, View Family vs Individual

I have some multimedia data attached as 'family' items and others attached as 'individual' items.

When I am viewing the 'Individual Property Box' and select the Multimedia tab, I would like to have it also list all the 'family' multimedia files that are attached to that individual as well.  Is this possible?

Otherwise, how do you easily know what 'family' multimedia files have been linked to an individual?

Bob have you tried the List All Related Media Plugin? I wrote it to assist with this problem.

Another way is to select the individual record, then use Media > View Media for Selected Records. This will open the Multimedia window to display thumbnails of all media linked to the individual, including family-linked and media linked to events. Double clicking on a thumbnail or selecting it from the list on the left opens it in full in the multimedia window.

Jane, Lorna, - thanks for the suggestions.

What I was hoping to accomplish was to find a way that would list all attached multimedia in the Property Box, under the Multimedia tab for an individual, with some kind of color coding that would distinguish the Individually linked media files from the Family linked media files.  This approach would allow me to see all attached media for any individual right there in the Property Box.

1. In most cases where a photo is linked to a Family record, I have also linked each face to the corresponding Individual record.  In such cases, all the linked multimedia are shown on the Multimedia tab of the Individual's property box.

2. When using the Multimedia window to show all media for an Individual, it is possible to see that Individual's property box.

3. Most of my multimedia records are linked neither to Family nor to Individual records, but to Source records.
