Me again, I'm afraid. I have just been given information by a relative of three new people to add to my tree. So I have added a wife (of an existing person) and her parents. This shows up when I click on the 'All relatives diagram' button at the top as a fragment of tree with just the four people concerned showing. ie. thte three new people (connected as they should be and also the husband, connnected with two lines to the wife. The husband is not connected to the main tree in htis view. if i then focus on someone in my main tree, I can see the husband three with his new wife attached, but no parents and no little expansion button. (even though I have the expansion button clicked and other areas are expanded.)
Not sure what is happening. I would like the wife's parents to show up on the main tree and be integrated into that.
I attach screen shots. one in this message and one in the next.
Thanks.

To attach screen shots, make sure they are less than 150KB otherwise they will not upload.
After clicking Submit, in the Success!! window, you must also Click to insert Code before Close Window.
I suspect you are selecting only one Individual Record in FH before viewing the All Relatives Diagram.
This introduces several useful techniques that you might like to try.
(1) Select Both Spouses in Diagram
In the All Relatives Diagram select the husband's box so it has 8 blue markers on the border.
Hold down the Ctrl key and similarly select the wife's box, so both are selected.
While both boxes are selected, display the All Relatives Diagram again and all relatives will be included.
(2) Select Family Record
Firstly, your Records Window probably has no Families tab displayed.
Enable it using Tools > Preferences > Records Window and set all Record Type Display Options to Always show or Hide if none, then click OK.
Now open the Records Window and select the Families tab.
Select the husband & wife's Family Record and view the All Relatives Diagram to get the same effect as above.
(3) View Diagram Root Dialogue
Use menubar View > Standard Diagram Types > All Relatives to display Select Diagram Root dialogue.
Set Tree Root Type to Couple and Browse... for Root Couple.
Choose the Families tab and select the husband & wife's Family Record as above.
Click the > Add to Selection button and then OK twice.
The All Relatives Diagram should display as above.
There is also a Wish List item that if implemented would automatically perform the above.
Visit Entire Pool Diagram and vote for it.
