Change of Date Format
In my Records Window I have noticed in the Dates Column a different format has recently (last 3/4 weeks) appeared.
Instead of:-
1859-1927
I now get:-
b.1859, d.1927
Is this something I have changed unwittingly?

To investigate your settings follow these instructions:
In the Individual Records Window use Lists > Configure Record Window Columns or right-click the Column Headings and choose Configure Columns.
Select the offending Column name on the right, which is probably Dates, and click Edit in lower right corner.
What is the Expression? It should be =LifeDates(,STD).

Yep, mine didn't have ,STD in the brackets.
It has changed nearly all of them except a few remaining b's where a bur date has been used because of no death date.
Cheers

It should make no difference whether the Expression is or was:
=LifeDates() or
=LifeDates(,) or
=LifeDates(,STD)
They all should produce simply 1859-1927 without any b. or d..
To produce b.1859, d.1927 would have needed a VERY different Expression.

So how did I manage to change it and then change it back[confused]
The only expression I have consciously played around with, is the one to identify twins.

My expression is the default =LifeDates(,STD). I have the following formats as well as the expected 1859-1927:
bap.1859
bap.1859, bur.1927
bap.1859, d.1927
bur.1927
b.1859, bur.1927
all of which are normal behaviour when there is a burial instead of a death date and/or a baptism instead of a birth date. There are no examples such as b.1859, d.1927.

Keith ~ Exactly what do you change in the Expression and exactly what do you see in the Dates column for each case?

Yes Peter mine is now the same as yours displaying all the scenarios as you show.
Unfortunately I now don't have any evidence of the one I described in my first post with b and d.

until your first reply I had not changed anything. I had all the examples as in Peter's post plus the one I put in my first post:-
b.1859, d.1927
I then followed your instructions and inserted the ,STD into the brackets. After that all instances of the above example had disappeared.
