Marriage Info Row In Focus Window

Post by BobWard » 26 Nov 2012 18:35

In the Focus window there is a row below the husband & wife which says (for example): 'Married 9 October 1970'.

Is there anyway to get that row to also display the location of the marriage?

I don't think there is any way to include the Place or Address field with the Marriage Date.
This is rather strange, since all the other Events shown in the Individual boxes do include the Place.

If you click on your 'Married 9 October 1970', it will show you the Property Box (if you have it docked) with the place showing.  This is only a compromise but at least you can see the place (but not the address - you have to select the Facts tab for that).

Marriage Info Row In Focus Window

Since the place is shown in the Property box, I am surprised that there is no way to link it to the marraige row in the Focus window.  I thought it would just be a simple matter of adding another field to the algorithm that generates the text in the marraige row.

Some of the other genealogy programs I was reviewing show the marraige date & location in the row below the husband & wife, so I figured that FH probably had that option tucked away somewhere as well.

No big limitation though.  As long as the marraige location can be toggled on in the Pedigree diagram charts, I am ok.

The Focus Window is one of the few FH displays that does not allow its Event and Caption text to be customised.
