Duplicate records in Focus Window

I have several instances where duplicate records of spouses appear in the Focus Window. I have looked to see if the problem was due to having duplicate individual or family records which could be corrected by merging them but it isn't.

Can anyone suggest what the problem is and how I can put it right?

I am operating version 5.0.7

What are the Record Id shown in square brackets against the Individual Names?

If they are not displayed, use Tools > Preferences > Focus Window tab, and tick Show Record Ids.

Are they both the same in both spouses?

If you go to the all tab and then open both Family As Spouse records you can normally see quickly what the problem is.

If you can't see it, just do a screen grab and post it for us to see.

Thanks for the reply. I have attached a copy of the screen shot as you suggested.

You will see that there are more than one parents and spouse family references in the ALL box.

Multiple family records, please to to the Families Tab on the Records window and check there.

It looks as if you have married Henry to Clarissa three times, and in his Property Box there should be three Spouse tabs all named Clarissa, but with different Marriage Dates and different children!.
You have either imported some family records or inadvertently used the Add Spouse/Partner option more than once.

If the Families tab is not shown in the Records Window then use Tools > Preferences > Record Window and set all the Record Type Display Options to either Always show or Hide if none and click OK.

In these Family Records you should see three entries for ...of Henry Harley BURGOYNE with Clarissa NORTON.
Probably the best solution is to select two of these records and use Edit > Merge/Compare Records.
The repeat this with the remaining two records.

I would say at least one of the marriage records is incorrect anyway as 1881 is after Henry Died
An import from other sources looks likely, as there is a UID field showing in the 'all' tab
