I am not sure if I have done anything but whenever I search for any words in the Contains Text Standard Query, nothing at all comes up. This has been like this for a while, I dont think I altered anything as you cant do that with standard queries, but not sure what has gone wrong.

Any suggestions would be helpful, (perhaps something staring me straight in the face [confused])

I presume that there are Individual Records listed in the Records Window &/or the Focus Window is displaying some Individuals?

If you search for the same text in the 'Search and Return Result Set' Plugin does that return anything?

If you search in the query for one of your Surnames does it return the matching records?

Yes Tatewise, I have a big list of individuals, and the root in the focus window. (If thats what you mean). It used to do it just stopped doing so.

Jane, I have tried the search and replace plug in and yes it works on that one. (Never used plug ins before).

Its okay thanks to both of you, it now seems to work okay for some reason.
