Gedcom Census 2.4 is an application designed to be used in conjunction with Calico's Family Historian to allow faster creation of England/Wales Census source records for single households with occupation and census events linked to the source for each individual in the household. This program is not in anyway connected to or endorsed by Calico Software.
Most of the changes in version 2.4 are the result of problems reported by users of version 2.1. The changes are listed below:
- Earlier versions could not cope with very large Individual IDs, Source IDs, Family IDs, etc. Corrected this.
- Using method 2 there was often a 'must provide full title' error that prevented saving a census entry and this should no longer happen.
- Earlier versions failed if there was not already at least one source: this error has been corrected.
- Added an hourglass mouse pointer when saving the census record (can take a few seconds for a large file or on an older computer).
- The 'updated' field is now changed for individuals when entered in Gedcom Census
- Allow no data to be entered into Source Text when using method 1.
- Stopped census sources appearing multiple times in the source list for method 2.
- Added some extra error checking in various places.

I have just downloaded the software and entered information for the first time, but mistakenly have entered the same census details twice. Is there anyway of deleting entries?
I tried removing the programme and all files but the system will not allow me to remove the program file.
I guess that i have mucked it right up now. How do i sort it out?

Given that Gedcom Census is now at version 6.06 dating from August 2008 isn't it time that this article relating to version 2.4 dating from 2004 was retired and removed - together with the corresponding link from the 'Links' page?
Happily the text and links on the 'Downloads' page are referring to the latest version so this page is simply at best unnecessary and at worst misleading.
