Hi Elizabeth

I can assure you that Gedcom Census does not include any trojans. With over 1700 downloads of this application and most people having anti-virus nowadays it would have been reported. I use Norton at home (updated daily) and Sophos at work (updated hourly) and neither have ever complained about Gedcom Census.

I suspect something else other than GC is causing the message. At exactly what point does the message from Norton appear and what are the exact words it uses? Please email me via nsw@eidosnet.co.uk about this and I'll see if I can help.

Nick

I downloaded this weekend and started to use it. It's excellent but I made an error in the first couple of entries I made. I forgot to add the Source text, merely added the names, ages and occupations to the bottom part of the window. This means I stupidly have not recorded the place of birth. Can I open and edit an existing entry within Gedcom Census?

Hi Simon. Gedcom Census is used to create census entries but not to edit them (except for attaching images to existing census sources).

Assuming you are using Method 1 then the source text can be edited via the Sources tab in the main records window in Family Historian. Within the sources screen you will see a list of sources. Just double-click the sources you need to edit the source text for and enter the details into the 'Text from source' textbox.
