The link below will download a short installable movie on how to enter a simple query from scratch. When you click on the link depending on your movie player you may need to resize the window to make it easy to read. Any comments will be well received and if this is found useful I may do some more.

having avoided constructing custom queries so far & concentrated on getting records in, I found the movie very helpful in understanding the query build process. Maybe I'll do more in this area some time now. Excellent.

The action took place so quickly that I could neither follow, nor understand what was going on. By the time my eyes caught up with the cursor it had moved somewhere else! Had I been able to control the speed of the movie I could have read what was being written and being explained: as it was I couldn't follow any of it. Maybe when I become more accustomed to Family Historian it will make sense - but not at that speed!!!. Regards, Don. Murray
