Family Historian 3.1 has been awarded Family Tree Software of the Year,  by Your Family Tree Magazine.

Beating both Legacy and Roots Magic to the winners podium.  It was praised for the ability to enter data direct from diagrams and it's flexibility in handling multi-media.

So congratulations to Simon and Calico Pie on the award.

On the 10th November Simon Posted the additional information to the FHU List
This is just to say thank you very much to everyone who emailed us (here or directly) to congratulate us on winning Your Family Tree magazine's 'Family History Software of the Year' award for 2008 (awarded in the Dec 2008
edition of YFT). We were of course delighted to receive it. You may be interested to know that this is actually the 5th award that Family Historian 3 has received. The other 4 were:

'Which? Computing' gave Family Historian 3.1 their 'Best Buy' award and their highest score in a group test of eight top genealogy programs (July
2008 ).

'Windows XP: The Official Magazine' gave Family Historian 3.1 their 'Editor's Choice' award and highest score in a group test of four top
genealogy programs (Dec 2007).

'Computeractive' magazine gave Family Historian 3 their 'Buy It!' award - the second time it has won this award (July 2006).

'Personal Computer World' magazine gave Family Historian 3 their 'Personal Computer World Recommended' award (May 2006).

In addition we have received a large number of terrific reviews, saying things like 'the best just got better'. See http://www.family-historian.co.uk/reviews for more of these if you're interested.
