Why another upgrade
===============
As I said in an earlier email, we released an upgrade to version
2.2.3 a few days ago. We posted an announcement about it on this Mailing
List, but
the announcement did not appear because there was a problem with the server.
It is possible that it still might appear at some point. If it does, please
ignore it.

As I also said in the earlier email, 2.2.3 turned out to contain a bad bug
that somehow had got missed by all previous testing. Thank you to Tommy
Manson and Bob Crosbie for pointing this out, and for testing the fix to the
bug for us. Anyway, this is why we are now issuing another upgrade - this
time to version 2.2.4. Version 2.2.4 is essentially the same as 2.2.3
except that
it contains a fix to the aforementioned bug. We encourage everyone to
upgrade to 2.2.4 - but especially anyone who had previously upgraded to
2.2.3.

The upgrade to 2.2.4 is free. The upgrade program is called
upgrade_fh_to_2.2.4.exe, and it can be used to upgrade any earlier version
of Family Historian to 2.2.4. It won't do anything if you don't have a
valid version of Family Historian already installed.


Changes since 2.2.1
===============
Compared to version 2.2.1, version 2.2.4 contains a number of bug fixes,
including a fix to the bug which caused problems for users who have dual
monitors.

It also includes some new features - such as the ability to exclude pictures
from diagrams and/or reports, and also the ability to override captions for
pictures in reports. For more details on these and other new features, see

You can download the new upgrade program either from the
Family Historian website at http://www.family-historian.co.uk/downloads, or from
the Family Historian User Group website, at

If you're not sure which version of Family Historian you are currently
using, click on Help > About Family Historian. The version number is shown
in the first line of the dialog box that appears.

Our apologies to everyone who downloaded and installed 2.2.3 and
who is now having to repeat the process for 2.2.4.

I didn't seem to have the picture display problem, but is comforting to know that I can get a fix.

I am a new user to this fantastic site. But how can I upgrade to 2.2 4 I cannot see the download anywhere. I have already downloaded to 2.3 Many Many Thanks

2.2.4 predates 2.3 so as you have 2.3 you have the last edition for Version 2.
