Expected delivery date for version 3 (Simon Orde)

I am pleased to say that our manufacturers have now given us an expected delivery date for version 3 of Family Historian. On this basis, we are expecting version 3 (both the boxed version and CD upgrades) to arrive at UK resellers on March 28th. It will take a little longer to reach resellers outside the UK.

Once again we apologise for the delays.

For technical reasons we have had to drop support for Windows 95 and Windows NT4. Family Historian 3 will no longer run on either of these operating systems. Our research indicates that very few, if any, Family Historian users still use either of these operating systems, so we hope that none of you are affected. The need for this only emerged very late on - hence the late notice.

FH3 will support Windows 98/ME/2000/XP. It has also been successfully tested under the 64-bit version of Windows.

My card was charged earlier this week, by TWR so it really can't be long now...

...can it?

TWR charged my card four weeks ago, before the release date was announced and I'm not a happy bunny!!

I'm not surprised! Neither would I have been. It's a bit much when the 'reason' is to enable faster dispatch when the product is in stock. I'd rather wait until the goods are in as the interest on the money (such as it is!) is better in my pocket.
