V3 Issues and bugs and FAQs

Post by admin » 01 Apr 2006 08:32

A couple of minor bugs/issues have been identified in V3 neither are mission critical in that they do not effect the safety of your data or damage in any way your information.

Since V3 contains such a huge amount of new functionality small issues are bound to arise in my opinion, despite the best efforts of Calico Pie and the beta testing group to find them all.

To keep track of issues reported via the mailing list or the forums here I have created a new forum called V3 Issues, I will move postings about confirmed program problems to that forum so you will be able to review known issues.

In addition I have created an FAQ forum, I hope to be able to post some questions and answers there with regard to feature changes etc for V3.

V3 Issues and bugs and FAQs

Jane,
I thought V3 would fix the problem of duplicate lines in the diagram. I tried linking the married cousins in my tree back together. I still had the duplicate lines, only this time with coloured arrows showing the duplicates. Am I missing something here? Is there a way to eliminate the duplicates?

How does one title a diagram. I used to be able to but with V3 there does not appear to be a way, but that most probably is my ineptitude.

Simply insert a text box from the diagram menu or by right clicking on the background.

just a reminder as above, PLEASE ask questions via the forums rather than using the comments on the article.

Thank you.

I have saved a couple of charts as *.fhc files, and opened some successfully. However a couple give me the message 'not a family history chart'. Am I doing something stupid?
