Re: AS on a go Slow
I quite often get this (I have 89000+ individuals)
I get it mainly occurring when a place field has a lot of addresses associated with it.
A new place will work very fast, but gets progressively slower to react the more addresses there are.

Re: Scottish Marriages
You can add an Associated Person Role as Registrar and then add That role to your template.
I have done this for my American Marriages as they are often witnessed by the Registrar.

Re: Show Project Stats
Hi Mike,
I have run 2.3.1 with no problems. (Also run on 2.3 yesterday)
Is it possible to have the reported errors count repeated on the options page. I had to keep switching tabs to find which options affected the count

If you look at the family records, you will find that you Have the couple listed twice.
You will need to merge the two family records

Check that you have no Windows updates pending.
I have quite often found that Windows can stop things working properly when an update is pending.

I have continued to work with FH7 almost exactly the way I did with FH6. I am not touching templated sources. So it may be worth persevering

Re: Autotext query
If you are using AS you can create your own Autotext. Just copy the standard autotext that is closest to what you want, then give the new version a meaningful name. Modify the bits that are different and save Have a look at the KB, I think there are quite a few on there. I have created my own baptis...

I am getting the same problem. After getting in with recaptcha I ran the check installed plugins against the store plugin.
Every Plugin I have has an update (Even the ones not in the store) and error on download every time.

Re: FH7
There IS a discount for users of FH6 who bought an upgrade version (I got a discount). On the purchase page you put in your existing license name and number and the system works out what discount (If any) you are entitled to.

This happens if you have no marriage date or details entered for the Widow. AS doesn't know that she has been married.

Re: set flag based on fact
You don't need to add the flag at all. Because you are adding a fact about the disease, the diagram options can be set to test for the existence of the fact itself, and set the background colour accordingly (Or add an Icon). In the boxes section of Diagram Options select add condition add an express...

I am the same Nick.
I switched over to using expressions a long time ago. and I have only used the Census date checker once or twice.
Keep up the good work.

Re: Introducing myself and a little (or maybe big) question
When I said FreeBMD mimics Ancestry (Maybe should be other way around), I was referring to the naming convention of the Index with years (And the split at 1915-1916), not the actual content.

Re: Introducing myself and a little (or maybe big) question
On Ancestry, the births are still shown in two catalogues with different date ranges(1837-1915) (1916-2007), FreeBMD mimics Ancestry, whereas on FMP they are both under the one catalogue(1837-2006). I use all 5 births as separate (Lumped) sources to show where I got the info from although I do now p...

Re: 1911 census reference Conundrum
Looking at the front page for the Queens Promenade addresses, the Piece Number should be 34674.
What is odd is that the references are incorrect (i.e. the same) on both ancestry and FMP

It is images that I am looking at.
By looking at the cover it appears that both FMP and Ancestry have the piece number incorrect for the Queens Promenade address (Thomas Arthur Corlett). It should be PN 34674

It also looks like you have several PDF programs installed (Nova PDF, PDF Viewer plus, as well as (Probably ) some version of Adobe Acrobat viewer). Try disabling the view report after creation option (I think 2 programs are trying to open the report at the same time) Also try uninstalling PDF viewe...

Peter, that is why I use today's date on the citation. To provide me with an "Audit Trail". When I look at an individual's Birth record for example, and can straight away see what dates that I got the relevant sources. Prime example would be if I got 1939 register over a year ago, it would...

Re: Create Records Using AS v5.2
AS does not hold any data. It is just a "Front end" that edits the same Gedcom file as FH directly. This sounds like you are adding to a different copy of your Project/Gedcom file. If you use the Ancestral Sources Data Entry plugin whilst in your project, this ensures that your data will b...
