I agree. See also my comment on the above-linked wish-list item.

PyreneesPirate,
While I have some sympathy with your frustration, is there any reason why you cannot at least make a start by entering your data using your FH3 installation? The data will then be in your Gedcom file ready for FH4 as soon as the upgrade arrives.

V4 nbsp;- upside down text
I quite agree with Steve's and Nick's comments above. FH3 was a great program, and FH4 is even better, in many, many ways. And now v4.0.1 (the patch couldn't be quicker and easier to run, by the way) already brings no less than 8 worthwhile improvements, including the few bug fixes. Well done Simon...

Greeting and Gedcom question
Hi Brian,
It is my understanding that the only place that FH keeps your data is in your Gedcom file. If you provide a new Gedcom file for FH to load, the only data it uses will be that in your new Gedcom file. Your old Gedcom file can be ignored or archived, whatever you prefer. Hope this helps.

I have also noted that there is no link to a child, but there is a link to the child's spouse.

Jane, I think it is possible that goodwin2's 'EXCLUDED: invalid line's and consequent 'EXCLUDED BRANCH LINES' could have been intended as Source Repository Citations in the Source Records. See the GEDCOM 5.5 definitions: http://homepages.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~pmcbride/gedcom/55gcch2.htm#SOURCE_RECO...

Family Property Facts Sentence Bug Unfixed
Nick, Thanks, and of course what you say is true for that parrticular 'individual' fact. But there are several other 'family' facts (which is the relevant context), e.g. co-residence, which includes '{couple}' rather than '{individual}' and birth of child, which includes a non-ambiguous '{individua...

Family Property Facts Sentence Bug Unfixed
My V4 Update CD arrived today and so far I'm very pleased with the many improvements (and cannot yet find any upside-down text even at 32-bit resolution). However, a minor but annoying bug first reported 31/03/06 for V3.0 has still not been fixed. Please see my post of 02/05/07 for V3.1.2 at http:/...

Bug not fixed in 3.1.2
Simon - Many thanks. Please say if we can hope for a fix to the Sentence bug in a future patch or release. (I had also hoped for a fix in 3.1 or 3.1.1)

Bug not fixed in 3.1.2
The Sentence box on the Events tab of the Family Property Dialog only ever shows the template, and never the resulting sentence. This differs from the Individual Property Dialog where the Sentence box only displays the template when you click in the box to edit the template; if you click in another...

Possible bug: Family Properties - Sentence
Hello, I've been using FH less than 10 days and am very impressed with FH and with FHUG. But I have to agree that the Family Event sentence field does have a slight bug. The corresponding field for the Individual Properties dialogue also allows editing but switches to display the resulting sentence...
