Tracing an Ancestor in the Police Force
I have a picture of a relative in a constables uniform circa 1800-1900, there is a collar number of 722 showing. Can anyone suggest a way of tracing his name.

Thanks for the reply Mike, I will have a look at the fact sets. My information at this time is for the RAF WWII, rank, number, posting etc. Some documents like sign up paper, pictures and the actual mentioned in depatches certificate. I will be adding army records to for other family members for WW1...
