thanks Nick. Where are any new or changed templates eg. Census Templates stored?

- Documents\Ancestral Sources\Settings OR
- The registry

If the registry, would they be included in Tools->Backup AS Options?

I regularly backup my system to external drives with Macrium Reflect. What would I need to restore to get Ancestral Sources working as before? Would this include any census templates I create?

Thanks to some other members here, I now understand that a recommended way to enter and cite a census is to use Ancestral Sources rather than FH. I just have a newbie question to help my understanding of FH : If AS didn't exist - what would have been best practice to enter and cite a census using FH...

Many thanks to Helen, Bill and Nick - I was thinking I'd have to do the editing with Notepad but I'm impressed to see it can all be done in AS. (Nick - I just made a small donation to thank you for your continuing development and support .)
