Re: Delete List of Places

Thanks Mike - never noticed it before!

Do you know the answer to my other query - one of the ticked boxes at the left of the list has a red/orange background. Why is that?

Delete List of Places

I don't know how it happened, but I have two Places Lists (All Places and All Places (2) ), and both seemingly identical.
How do I delete one of them?

Also, one of the ticked boxes at the left of the list has a red/orange background. Why is that?

Export from FH7 to FTM 2019

I use FH and FTM, but have now decided that I prefer FH as my main program. So I exported a GEDCOM file from FH to FTM. It worked fine except the photos did not link to profiles even though all media came across. I know there's a plugin for this but I found the options too complicated. As I say, the...

Re: Save Or Backup

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I couldn't find the answer using the search facility.

What is the difference between the Save and Backup facilities?

Re: Incorrect Mapping in Places

Thanks for the replies. I'll look at the various suggestions.

As I say, the FTM places are almost 100% accurate and I had hoped they'd be carried across.

Re: Incorrect Mapping in Places

I have only two options - OpenStreetMap (default) and NLS Historical Maps of Great Britain.

I use the default.

Incorrect Mapping in Places

I have just started using FH7 and like it (I also use FTM). However, I'm really disappointed with the inaccuracy of the mapping.

FTM is really accurate in this regard, and I have imported the Gedcom file from it, but the mapping results are poor in FH.

Is this because FTM uses Bing Maps?
