Find Excluded Media
Is there a way to find all the media with links excluded from all publications null? I just want to see media that will be in reports and diagrams so I can quickly say "oops, meant to exclude that one."

Re: Small Caps
That's what I thought, just wanted to check. I'll settle for just all uppercase as a default in my template. And it is an odd convention to me as well.
Thanks,
Jackie

Small Caps
In Evidence Explained there are occasions when the citation should have small caps. For example: Personal knowledge of the author, Jane Doe, ADDRESS FOR PRIVATE USE, Somewhere, Texas. ADDRESS FOR PRIVATE USE would be in small caps. It doesn't appear there is a way to do this in FH7, but thought I wo...

Using preferred index for spouse
In the layout section of the descendant report for Heading Record the default is %INDI.NAME:ADORNED_FULL% (=LifeDates2()) Which displays John Doe Sr. (1957-2014) at the top of the report I would like my header to say John Doe Sr. – Mary Smith where Mary is one of many wives, but in this case marked ...

Family Group Narrative Report
Is there a way to have the Family Group Sheet report use full sentences? I suspect the answer is no, or perhaps use LUA. But I thought I would ask.
Thanks,
Jackie

Re: Cannot delete a book
I thought when I moved a test project from Google Drive to local, it fixed the problem. It did not. But I didn't reallize that until I moved everything off of Google Drive, and still had the problem. Then I uninstalled/reinstalled FH7. That worked. So I think something in the program may have gotten...

Re: Cannot delete a book
Upon further reading, I think I will move my project folder back to a local drive, and carefully undo the junction points and keep everything local. Then if I want to use my laptop, which is infrequent I'll copy the project folder and use Backup and Restore Family Historian Settings when I want to u...

Re: Cannot delete a book
Resetting the project did not help. But I do have my files on google drive. And interestingly, and thankfully, if I copy my project to a local drive, it works fine there. It must be something in syncing or how drive handles file permissions or something. Which is a bit of a dilemma. I occasionally u...

Re: Cannot delete a book-update
I have the same problem if I try to delete a book with the sample data. Should I back up and then uninstall/reinstall?
Thanks

Cannot delete a book
I've been experimenting with Publish, Books & Booklets. I have to books that I cannot view or delete. I have run File, Validate, but it reported no problems. Re: Plugins planned/in progress
Slightly off topic, but I know how to use SQL Lite for basic stuff. Does this mean I can go tinker with a backup copy of my database? Do I just open the proj file with it? If it's not that simple, no worries. I just enjoy poking around.

Hide a fact type in all reports
I feel like this should be obvious, but I'm not finding it. I have a custom fact for DNA. It contains information about living people. I want to use it and have it display while I research, but never want it in reports. It seems like there would be something in the fact definition to do this. I real...

Re: Research Notes Displaying Named List
I've posted screen shots of what I wanted to do, but now realize it won't work. So unless you are curious, no need to spend time on this. This is how I set it up for the Individuals records: Individuals.png The where used Plugin shows the research note record "attached" to the individual. Where used...

Research Notes Displaying Named List
I have a named list of Ancestors. I have a research note for Mary Doe. Mary is on the named Ancestor list. I have configured a column in the Research Notes Records window for the Ancestor list. However, neither Mary nor any other ancestors have a tick mark in the Research Notes Records Window. I hav...

Re: Plugins planned/in progress
Thanks for pointing out Tabulate Source Templates Definitions. There are so many great plugins in the forum that aren't in the store. Is there a list anywhere?
