I might be doing something stupid wrong but half the time I either add or edit a note in FH7 it is not saved. Few times I deleted a note and replaced it with another, then after closing I see the old note is still there. Any suggestions thanks

I am confused as to how I am to enter the information for a burial so that it appears on the mapping tool. Do I place the name of the cemetery in the place box along with actual town etc the person is buried? Or do I add the name of the cemetery along with physical address in the address box? Just l...

I have switched over to FH7 from Roots using a GEDCOM. I see in a list that I have many excluded information, what steps do I use in cleaning this up? I am not sure what they even are. I am a beginner learning on the go, and I get lots of help here. Thanks

In Rootsmagic they use a details space for places. In this a place such as a cemetery name would be attached to a city or town ect instead of a separate place location. I found the problem. Since moving my files to FH from RM some of the place notes have bold letters. When I changed this it now reads correctly in FH. What a mess I am trying to clean up. Sorry and thanks for the great help wit FH.

Trying to edit the note for a picture. Example like see he big wall. Try to change he to the but nothing changes. It stays he big wall. If this makes sense.

When I try to edit a note for a media file nothing happens. It continues to remain the same even if I delete the note. What am I doing wrong?

When using the addon to export using rootsmagic switch the media files get renamed with a number in front such as 001. Why do the media files get renamed? Just curious, thanks.

I found this when i used note pad to open the gedcom. This is the gedcom generated from the plugin for rootsmagic tree. I found that using the internal export this does not happen. I had started to delete these files and looked good but then after exporting they were there again.

The original gedcom file came either from Rootsmagic or Family Tree Maker 2017. I honestly do not remember it has been awhile. I truly appreciate your help with this. So confusing to be sure. Thank you

When I open the person box there are no notes listed there. When I use the All tab only given and surname are shown as Given Abner and Surname Newton. This is all that shows on FH. After I import to Rootsmagic or even Family Tree Maker then the notes appear.

I have expanded the fields and there are no extra names or alternate names listed. I get these notes for every person with using the plugin or when using the internal export. So confusing.
