Thanks Mike. I think I'll live without this data. My understanding of Source Templates is limited at present but I think that dates have to be manually entered (in RY3 it defaulted to the current date) and I'm likely to find manual entry a pain for limited gain.

Even without the map cache, a settings backup is about 1500 files. Further copying of lots of small files (e.g. upload to cloud storage) is a lot slower than a handful of zip files. As a general point, optimising dated backups is probably more useful than providing zipping. Would archiving the file...
