OK folks, you have convinced me. A single tree it will be!
Thanks again to all for taking the time.

Re: Editing Profile
Well Mike, I did it over again, and this time it seems to have worked.
Incidentally, this time I got an alert that Interests was too long so I cut it down to basics.
Thanks a lot.

Re: Editing Profile
When I log in and click my name (at the top) and select Profile all I get is Contact TonyVella, and Signature. When I click Edit Profile (on the same page) all boxes are empty. When I select Profile in User Control Panel all the boxes are empty. Maybe I should Edit Profile and enter everything again...

Re: Editing Profile
Hello folks.
I did all that and entered all parts of profile I thought necessary and submit.
My problem is that when I go back to see what I wrote, I only see the signature; the interests and occupation, for example, do not show. Why?
Thank you.

Editing Profile
I have just edited my profile but now I can't seem to find a way to read it to make sure I didn't mess up. I click my name and only get to see the signature; nothing else, like interests, occupation, etc. I searched FAQ and KB and GU, but there doesn't seem to be anything helpful. Any hints apprecia...

Advice about my own FT
I am originally from Malta and the following is (or, at least, was) common to all Maltese families. The Vella FT is rather easy and uncomplicated: GG Father: Toni Vella G Father: Toni Vella First-Born Uncle: Toni Vella Father (Second-Born): Victor Emanuel Vella Myself: Toni Vella (Toni>Tonju>Antonju...

Re: Anticipating union problems in FH 6.2
Perfect, Mike!
What do I read to learn to do that? I ask that because all programs seem to have proprietary terminology and if you don't know it searching can take a long time unnecessarily.
Thanks & Regards.

Re: Anticipating union problems in FH 6.2
I agree with the latest comments that Greek Mythology is not exactly what the average family tree looks like; I have never had to face such situations in any of the Renaissance trees, for example. Except, perhaps, the de' Medici tree where everyone was calling their kids after their grandfather or u...

Re: Anticipating union problems in FH 6.2
Son of a gun, exactly the same doubling effect as in FTM. It does get on my nerves when I print out the occasional tree or branch and I thought I would be through with it with FH6. In each case, say Hephaestos and Aphrodite, the union is shown both under Hephaestos and under Aphrodite which makes my...

Anticipating union problems in FH 6.2
In Greek Theogony there are some strange unions. e.g. Zeus + Hera (brother and sister) + multiple issue; Hephaestos and Aphrodite (stepbrother and sister - same father) + issue; and others I can't remember at the moment. To this very day I have not been able to make FTM accept these unions and was w...

Re: Items to include in boxes
How embarrassing!
I forgot to thank you , Anne, for pointing me in this direction in the first place.
But all's well that ends well. (I learnt that from Socrates or Mark Twain, I'm not sure. I always get those two mixed up).

Re: Items to include in boxes
Hello Mike.
As a matter of fact, once I got David's message it took me no more than 5 minutes to get what you see.
In this instance, of course, I left the born, married, and died out for obvious reasons.
I think I can get to like this program.

Thank you very much, David, worked like a charm.
I attach a capture to give you an idea what I have been banging my head about since midnight.
I'm 75 and don't sleep much.

Re: Items to include in descendants boxes
For the past 20 odd years I have been using Family Tree Maker. I have at least 6 generations of every Renaissance family worth remembering, from the Medici, de' Medici, Montefeltro, Borja y Gil, Este, Machiavelli, Cellini, etc. I am currently working on a comparison between the Greek Theogony of Hes...

Items to include in boxes
I am in the process of trying ver. 6.
One thing that is driving me nuts is my inability to select what information to include and how to do it.
Thanks in advance for all help.
