Census Templates
I wonder if anyone has any work arounds to force a line break in the heading for AS Census Templates Purely from a design/legibility viewpoint, I prefer the second version to the default first version. As1.jpg As2.jpg Currently I simply add a line break to the last column that is visible (if I remem...

Re: Pictures - Frames moved
Colin, Lightroom edits are non-destructive, .....Only the exported jpg file will have the adjustments. Yes I know, but FH cannot see those amendments to the original files. The images need to be published to a separate location for subsequent use in FH. Any alts made in LRC generate a re-publish. I...

Thanks for the detailed explanation. That did make it perfectly feasible. ThanksYou have not explored all the Media Window options, that will help with Face Frames

Re: Pictures - Frames moved
Colin, you don't need a Query. Just open the Media Window to display all Media and in the Media List: drop-list top left choose All Individual Media and then All Family Media if you have face frame images attached to Family records. Wow. I'm ashamed to say I have NEVER opened that Media window! I w...

Pictures - Frames moved
I've noticed that a small but significant number of my images with Frames have been messed up. Instead of being reduced in size to fit a face, they seem to have reverted to maybe a default size, and moved away from the face. These are all images added directly to a person by dragging on to the Media...

Re: Synchronizing Family Historian Settings
Mark is absolutely right. On my last PC I had to endure different user names, but my current one uses the same user. As I've set up a few since, it maybe seems to be more consistent. Of greater issue is the naming of hard drives. Many new devices come with a mix of some or all of NVME, SSD, HDD driv...

Synchronizing Family Historian Settings
I'm setting up Syncing to my laptop after getting a new PC. At Synchronizing Family Historian Settings Using Directory Junctions under the Section "Which Folders to Synchronise" it lists a few necessary ones, and some other possible ones. Among those is the Plugins Folder, but there is no mention of...

I'm re-posting this request as the topic got diverted from the original topic, and may have been missed by Nick. Re: Change Specific Fact - Error on run
Colin, as Helen has alluded to, this plugin reports more than just statistics and reports a whole range of exceptions. Its Plugin Store summary says: I was aware of that, I was trying to avoid suggesting too much work for authors. I had deliberately not suggested what I had been thinking, which was...

Re: Change Specific Fact - Error on run
I suspect that there could well be quite a lot of corrupt fact sets. If that suspicion is correct, would not validation of fact sets merit a Validation plugin on its own? It does not seem to fit logically inside a statistics plugin. Of course its very easy for me to say this as I would not have any ...

Change Specific Fact - Error on run
I thought I'd start this as a new topic although it appears to be linked to the topic 19623|Ability to Change Type of Fact . I ran the "Change Specific Fact " plugin today, and got this error. Mil 1.jpg I checked and there was no duplication of Label or Name Mil 2.jpg Having a look at the Military.f...

Census Template 1861 Scotland
I've just noticed that my 1861 Scottish Template shows the wrong date (8th April) instead of the correct date the 7th (I know there is some debate about whether it should be the first day or the second since it is recorded at midnight, but all other AS templates use day 1). Both ScotlandsPeople & Th...

Worked perfectly as always. Annoyingly, I had looked at that section, but had not actually opened the entries to see the Expression functions.

Source Record Links Links
For auditing purposes, I've created a custom query to list all my Census Sources, and the matching media record. I want to include the "Links" & "Pics Etc" columns which appear in the standard Source Record tab, but I'm struggling to find out how. Any tips (assuming I can do so) would be welcome. Th...

Re: Census Tabs
That is sensible idea, and is being planned https://www.fhug.org.uk/forum/viewtopic ... 32&t=20490Maybe it would be better to write a step-by-step guide of how to do it for oneself? Once you have the hang of it, it is quite simple. Custom Tabs are a very under-used feature in FH I think.
