Re: Changing the fact sentence wording
Changing the Fact Type Definition to something like "{individual} was born {date} at {address} {place}" works well, but only if you have a place and an address. Can it be written to change depending on whether an address has been added or not? I'm thinking possibly of an If, Then, Else scenario....o...

Re: Changing the fact sentence wording
OK. Fantastic response - thanks. The only reason I put the full address in the place field is because you don't seem to be able to control the reporting, and the place comes out in the wrong area, i.e., under the date. I have seen some discussion about that on here - is it up for future enhancement?...

Changing the fact sentence wording
In many cases in the facts I've created, it would be more appropriate (and better grammar) to say "He was born AT Southmead Hospital", rather than "He was born IN Southmead Hospital, or "He was cremated AT so-and-so crematorium", etc. Can this wording be changed? I've not found a way to do this yet....

Re: Link to Face problems
I see. Thanks for your response. However, I have been adding the Frame Links from the Media list display pane, and that icon is not there...?

Re: Given Name Used/Name Suffix Fields
OK. It appears that Name Prefix and Name Suffix work well with that, but not the Nickname or Given Name Used. Still, that was useful.
I must say that responses from this forum are friendly and helpful. Thanks for the help

Link to Face problems
I have been extensively adding photos to my tree, but have come across the following issue (which may be just me, but there?) I select a photo in the media list and, if applicable, assign links to the faces in it - all good so far. Now, when I visit an individual covered by that photo, sure enough, ...

Given Name Used/Name Suffix Fields
Hi. I'm confused by the boxes under the 'more (+) section, which appear to be very useful when you look at the help topic, but when do they get used? I have - and I'm sure lots of people have - generations or families with the same name, so I thought I could use 'Sr' and 'Jr', etc., and/or Nicknames...

Re: Media Filters
Thanks for the response - it was extremely helpful - I will report as you say and see what happens. I haven't had a problem with duplicated citation media...I only ever link the media to the database, then either copy & paste the citation, or use the witness feature (which is excellent). For instanc...

Re: Media Filters
...There is a source media filter, but that would only show media against the actual resource, which in a lumper's world, would only be in the case of a photo of a church, or somesuch. There is no filter in the drop-down for the citation media...

Re: Media Filters
Apologies for placing in the incorrect folder - to be honest, I didn't know which folder it was going in :) . However, my question was to do with the fact that since I have attached the media to the citation (I'm pretty much a 'lumper'), which is based on a 'fact', I would expect it to therefore app...

Media Filters
Hi, I'm completely new to this software, so please excuse if this is a dumb question .... :) I'm adding people into my tree, and resourcing as I go. I also add the citation media (BC, MC, etc.), but although I've added several fact-based media, when I look at the 'all event/fact media' filter, apart...
