Just an update, have run the script successfully. Loaded into Roots Magic and looks good. Been too busy this week to progress further. Many thanks, think this will prove to be very useful.

Re: Parallel Family Historian and Ancestry trees
Hi Mark, thanks for your reply. I used Notepad++, guess maybe that's the cause.
Will start from scratch using notepad.
(I added the print statements to get some output as the batch file opened the command box which closed straight away)

Re: Parallel Family Historian and Ancestry trees
Hi, I have been following this conversation with great interest as I run several parallel trees. My main tree is in FH having migrated from FTM a while back. Once satisfied myself everything had migrated successfully I generated Gedcoms for creating new trees in Ancestry, FMP and MyHeritage with lim...

The indexes available at http://www.gro.gov.uk for births to 1916 and deaths to 1957 are new transcriptions from digital copies of the relevant certificates. The indexes available elsewhere are from transcriptions of the original indexes.

I've added fhugdownloads:contents:utility_folder_marker|> Utility ~ Folder Marker . Does it provide a reasonable description? Hi Mike that looks good to me. One branch has folders for record types (census, baptisms, births etc) another has folders for each surname with subfolders for forenames. Those ...

Re: Reporting Issues
The idea is good but the responses raise some issues. Perhaps an additional Forum called perhaps Expert Advice on FH. The guidelines don't seem entirely appropriate to questions like "Which pdf" or "Start over?" where the poster may be seeking other's opinions, they are appropriate with issues with ...
