Non-English records
Has anyone created templates for Ancestral Sources for either Norwegian or German records? I'm creating a lot of autotext right now for the birth, marriage, etc. forms that I am seeing, but the AS fields and format don't map well. I'd love to talk to anyone who has gotten AS to "fit" non-English, no...

Re: Connecting multiple copies of same source database
I started a reply but I can't find where it saved my draft. If I can attach two repositories to a single source, that will help with the identical databases. There are cases where Ancestry refers directly to Familysearch to document the database; clearly the same source. I am pretty new to Family Hi...

Connecting multiple copies of same source database
Can anyone suggest a good way to connect the copy of a database from two different repositories or data providers? Ancestry licenses databases from all over, and in particular it has copies of many databases from Familysearch (Familysearch does the same in reverse). I am hoping that I can find a way...

Re: Location of imported template collection?
It is not there. I can find individual templates in a roundabout way by accessing a defined source, but neither method outlined in the Help gets me to my TMG Import template collection as a group.

Location of imported template collection?
I can't find my imported TMG template collection (FH7). When I look at individual sources, the collection is TMG Import, but it doesn't appear in the collection list and I can't find it anywhere on my disk to import, enable, disable, anything. The only thing with the name is a file in the Fact Types...

Re: Compound queries (join Place to Individual records)
I will look. I read the thread you referred me to from the email list and part of my problem is I have no idea what field to put the %FACT.PLAC>% you mentioned (column tab? row tab? in a function somewhere?). The overall thread looks very useful, I hunt for people by location all the time.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Compound queries (join Place to Individual records)
I'm new to FH, coming from TMG. My most frequent query for my one name study is (was) "find me all the people in place XXX with YYY in any of their names". (Vice versa depending on the research question.) I'm learning to write queries and have been exploring the available features. Distancebetween s...

Re: TMG Fact Type import issues
I can't speak to non-US English, but having this fresh in my mind, your proposal seems reasonable, Mike. I conformed my special tags to the GEDCOM standard on purpose and it seems to me the standard is the standard, FH should take the GEDCOM tag specified in TMG, whatever the label is, and using the...
