It is consitent and doesn't appear on any other applications. I just did a test, added a death, entered a date, pressed Tab and the Fact became highlighted, pressed Tab again and the highlight moved back to the date then behaved normally. Not the end of the world, just a bit irritating.

I too have been seeing this, very odd after entering a date, Tab has to pressed a couple of times to get back to the date field then is tabs correctly to age, address etc. This did not happen in previous versions and I cannot explain it.

I am doing the same thing for future one named studies, and have adopted the use of flags because a person can appear in a number of studies and customising the ID may give rise to future problems. It is a matter of personal choice.

This problem has persisted when I use FH on my second large monitor. Having gone through updating all the drivers etc, altering graphics settings the answer was remarkably simple. All that was needed was to open Settings->Display, select the second monitor and tick "Make this my main display".

In case it helps I am saving the reports as RTFs, opening in Word, then saving as PDF. Not so convenient thiugh, and image placement is changed which is annoying, to move them you need to shrink the box they are in first.

Just tried it (17:33) and it is still there. The button has the red arrow pointing at it.

Just went to get you a snip of the button but FMP is down for maintenance. I think it was the 3rd or 4th button from the left at along the top.

I find having pop-up transcription following me around annoying so I have toggled that off, but the default is on. The film strip is actually not really necessary, the ability say go to page nn really good and very helpful. Pity that you cannot toggle the film strip on / off.

An interesting surprise for census records this morning. FMP have added several new buttons and an option to have the transcription appear next to the mouse pointer for the record you are hovering over. Sadly no change to exporting a report as a pdf.

I have just noticed that the next upgrade 7.0.2 is available and accessible from within FH7 in the usual way. Looking at the upgrade notes quite a few fixes, can't see anything about the saving as a pdf though. I will try that tomorrow when I have upgraded.

Have you got the underscore in front of place i.e. {_place}? That suppresses the word "in".

I updated my web site yesterday and these asterisks don't look good. I opened the index page in Notepad and replaced ^* with nothing, and removed the final line at the end. This took less than a minute to do. Pity you can't toggle it in the software.

Didn't know there was one. Interesting that FH7 doesn't indicate that updates are available, mine says 7.0.1 is the latest version. Perhaps CP are still doing what they did with the first update, just emailing those that raised tickets.

I do it the same way as well, recording the age given on the document for a fact. This records it as it is. However, I do make a note under the birth record such as "The 1861 census suggest she was born in ........". I do the same for birth places as well which can also vary.
