Hi Mike/Jane
Struggling to find beginners level help on this... So apologies.
I this what you were referring to as Custom Attributes and is this as good as it gets?
Can I not name it to be say 'Surety' and have a list of allowed values. See the attached screen shot.

Re: Diagram Box Colours based on Flags
Thanks Jane
Also thanks to you Mike - just saw your post.
I'll have a go at the Custom Attribute option as that sounds more flexible.

Re: Diagram Box Colours based on Flags
Hi Jane Thanks for the quick reply. I'm not so good using/creating expressions... Re the flags option - if I understand correctly I would actually need 3 flags for my example and would need to control carefully which flag was attached to the individual at any one time. If that was done can I then us...

Diagram Box Colours based on Flags
Hi Forum Is there any possibility to setup the diagram box colours depending a single flag with multiple values? Example Flag Name = 'Checked', values might be Yes, No, In Progress. Box colours Green, Red, Orange respectively. This would give me a more visual result of which Individuals need further...

Printing of Named List is missing Information
Hi Forum I have created a simple Named List containing only Families, Family ID, and Children Count. You can see the content of the Named List in the attached screen (Capture) showing what I need in the report. When I print preview the Named List the ID and Child Count are missing? See second attach...

Re: Use of 'Given Name Used' field on Individuals Main Tab
Hi Both
Are we talking the same thing as I'm now confused (not difficult to do with my thin knowledge of FH). if it is already there - why did I need to create it on the Main Tab for the Individual Property Box as per my screen shots?

Re: Use of 'Given Name Used' field on Individuals Main Tab
Hi Peter - not as standard in 6.2.2 at least. Or at least I didn't have it for Individual or Spouse and I have not changed this area of FH with any customizing. Perhaps you could submit a screen shot.

Hi Mike
Did the first part, but fell down on the second part - I assumed I should call in Spouse related fields.
Thanks - on my way to correct now.

Hi Mike
I solved it for the Main (Individual) but can't get it to work for the Spouse. I get an message, please see the screen shots. What is it I'm doing wrong?
Screen shots are in reverse order of create process.
Thanks

Re: Use of 'Given Name Used' field on Individuals Main Tab
Hi Mike
Thanks - it doesn't appear in the selection list for Customizing. But I have some notes from Jane on how to construct this, so I'll have a go.
Particularly like to idea of adding it to the same row as Custom ID, always wondered what Part 2 was all about.

Re: Sort Place Names on two or more fields
Hi Forum
As an aside - I fell foul of this padding using 'Commas' as then you have to remember this when entering existing or new place names to keep the ordering consistent. Unless you will go and select from the list each time.

Use of 'Given Name Used' field on Individuals Main Tab
Hi Forum
Is there a way to display the 'Given Name Used' value on the Main Tab rather than having to remember to look into the More(+) option next to the Individuals full name?
Thanks

Re: Custom ID field in Family Records Window
Hi Forum
Interesting that I can edit the Family Custom ID value in the 'All' Tab - that's okay but I need it on the 'Main' Tab where other Custom ID fields can be placed.

Custom ID field in Family Records Window
Hi Forum I am able to add a column for Custom ID to the Family Records windows. But I cannot find a way to make use of it. Double Clicking doesn't work. And adding this field to the 'Main' tab does not appear to be allowed. I want to use this to align my family records from TMG to those newly create...

Re: Problem with Project Statistics Plug-In
Hi Mike
You nailed it. The Public folder was missing. I have renamed this project, backed up and restored a few times whilst getting to grips with FH so perhaps that folder got dropped at some point.
Many thanks - once again.

I have re-installed the plug-in but still can't get past this error message. Any ideas welcome. [string "C:\ProgramData\Calico Pie\Family Historian\..."]:524: Unable to op...

Some useful solutions there. I like the plug-in approach and as you say why mod the core parts of FH when workarounds are available.
Thank you
