Have you tried searching NZ newspapers through, say Napier Library or it’s local equivalent.
I did some searching through Canterbury Archives in Christchurch last year with good results.

I was using Tools>Plugins > Export 'Gedcom File' after doing the checks.

Then export mode Heredis (HER)
ANSI.......,1252
(PART~LMO)
Include

Tick - Use JPEG

THEN EXPORT GEDCOM & Media files>

Should I be
A. using the fh6 'website' to create a folder, then use the USB to iPad transfer method.
or
B. using the fh6 'full backup' to create a folder, then USB or email onto iPad and import to GoodReader?
