Re: Family Group
Thank you again. I have set the photo option for the children's spouse to O and the problem has been resolved. On the same subject, I propose to make my first book using Family Group Sheets basically to start with. I find that some spill over to the next page by just one line of text. To have a page...

Re: Family Group
I think I've found my mistake. With only two children, I mistakenly expected to view the whole family on one page, but I've just found that there are two pages, the second child is on page 2. It appears that the space on page 1 is taken up with the photo of the wife of the first child which is shown...

Re: Family Group
Thanks for your reply. In the Select Records window, on the right is the fathers name. When I expand with the icon to this name, it shows the whole correct family, so I have selected the correct one. However it still only publishes one child.

Family Group
Can you please help? (FH V6) I wish to publish a Family Group Sheet. This particular family consists of Father. Mother, and two children. All details are correct in the Focus Window and Property Box. However, when I open the Select Records window and move the father across from the family's tab and ...

FH version 6
I would love to see the end product of a project on DVD, but as a relevantly new beginner I find the terminology of FH difficult to grasp in all its help files. Is there a video tutorial available to actually see how a DVD is made ?

billygee

Backup
FH version 6. I am about to start backing up my projects to an external source ( memory stick ). When doing a full backup, is this literally a full backup each time, or is just the changes to the last full backup made? I'm thinking of disk space used, when it is only the latest changes made that nee...

Re: Advice
Hi Mike,
Sorry for the mistaken name. The reason I wish to open a project at a chosen name instead of the default root name is that one has to trawl right down from the root name to the family/generation one is working on.

Billygee

Advice
Hi Jerry, Could you please answer the following two questions? 1. Can I open a project at a specific person instead of the default root person? 2. When several photos of a person are imported, they are shown at the top of the focus window. However, only one photo is shown in the Spouse and children ...

Re: Help again
Checked external file links for Grice and Gee Projects and all OK no blank X boxes. However, with the Beardmore Project the file link pane was completely blank. What does this mean?

Re: Help again
Hi Mike, All photos retrieved OK, so I will now delete the Gee 2 project in the Project Window. I have found that the Root problem was an error in the Gedcom file when I first imported it into FH, so I can easily rectify that. So hopefully it's 'All Systems Go' again, and once more I can't thank you...

Re: Help again
Further to yesterday's help, there are now three issues to resolve. 1. In the Project Window there are now two FH sample projects, and two GEE Tree projects. To tidy this up, can I safely delete one of each? 2. In the Gee Project most of the photos are missing of one large family of parents and 13 g...

Re: Help again
Thank you so much Mike, I could never have done that without your help. I can't understand how all that happened as all my projects were imported via Gedcom files.
Have a drink on me! Cant thank you enough,
Bill.

Re: Help again
Hi Mike,
Sorry but I am unable to find my projects in the way you suggest. I can however, open each project with
FILE/GEDCOM FILES. but when I select Save they still do not appear in my Project List. Can you please help further?

Help again
When I launch FH v6 it defaults to one of my projects instead of the Projects Window. I tried to correct this by clicking on More Tasks in the Projects Window/ Project List/Set Location to Installation Default. This was obviously wrong as I have lost all my projects in the list except the Sample Pro...

Family Historian 6.
In my focus window I have my root person with spouse and family. If I scroll down, exactly the same details are duplicated. How can I get rid of one of these entries?
Many thanks. Bllygee.
