Thank you David and Mike - my main search is for individuals so the Alt shortcuts will work well. I have to untrain my fingers to use Ctrl + F ! I can see that once int eh Records Window Ctrl + D will take you to the last name search box, but I would like to use the keyboard to reliably get tot he Records window in the first place.

On the records | Individual tab I didn't explain myself clearly - I meat a keyboard shortcut to get quickly from any other workspace window to the Last Name Search box on the Records window rather than to a particular name.....

Is there a way to go directly from an item on the places list to the entry or individual that uses that place? I can see that the number of links is there, but not who they are... Could we please have a warning dialog that appears when V 3 compatibility is checked - telling the user that all property box customisations will be lost and that the process is not reversible? Perhaps recommending the use of the Backup and Restore Family Historian Settings plug in....

Hi Mike There is no option to reverse - and although one can turn off the Details tab, that is all I can find. There was also no warning that changes may be irreversible and I can find nothing in the documentation. I have restored from backup but the customizations did not appear to be there. I shal...

I thought I would check the Version 3 compatibility tab in the Customize Property Box dialog to see what the Detail tab looked like - and have now found that I can't revert to the highly customised tabs that I had set up before....are they gone forever?
