Source citation list no longer sorts correctly
I don't know whether this is a bug or user error/ignorance. Up until this morning when I wished to enter a citation to an existing source the list of sources that came up sorted correctly, I think by short title. This morning a had to run a few of the standard source queries and did some sorting by ...

Re: Search and Replace plug-in error
Thank you, Mike. That did the trick. It appears that FH7 (or perhaps OneDrive) mirrors the Search and Replace.Dat file to c:\ProgramData\Calico Pie\Family Historian\Plugin Data when it writes the file to the project folder on OneDrive. Judging by the file times and dates it appears that the same thi...

Search and Replace plug-in error
I've used the Search and Replace plugin before without problems, but now when I attempt to invoke it I get this error: [string "C:\ProgramData\Calico Pie\Family Historian\PL..."4818:attempt to concantenate a nil value (local 'strType') No changes have been made to data records. Function problem in sentences
I must be doing something so spectacularly obvious that I don't see it. I'm trying out some functions in sentence templates and I can't get them to work: {individual} was remembered as the {=Parentage(%INDI%)} returns only "He was remembered as the." This is an example; I know there are other ways t...

Re: Marriage status plug-in needed
Thank you Mike. I was aware of some of that. It's the report and diagram verbiage that I'm interested in controlling. For many of the divorces in my data I have no supporting information, so I thought it would be useful to cohere the status box to the fact entry. You've given me an idea, though. Whe...

Marriage status plug-in needed
The marriage status box is empty for nearly all of the divorced and separated people in my data. Most of the problem springs from my original importation of my RootsMagic GEDCOM; the remainder is the result of my failure to add the entry when adding people manually. My file contains nearly 200 divor...

Re: Lua Error in Show Project Statistics 2.6
Mike, FWIW, I have several exhibit file names with accented characters mostly (é and è) in my media directory. They are handled perfectly by your Export Gedcom plug-in, but the file Łódź.jpg does not appear in the output GEDCOM. I ran the plug-in with the GST option. Not too late to wish you a Happy...

Re: Windows 11
FWIW I've been using Windows 11 since late July with FH7, Gedsite, and (very occasionally) with RM8. None have given me any problems; my machines seem to run as quickly or slowly as before. There have already been half-a-dozen bug fixes, but AFAIK none affected my operations anyway. The new menu sys...

Re: Query help needed: people married in Florida
Thank you, Mike. It gives me exactly what I need. It took me longer than it should have to find the tiny symbols to delete and move rows and columns, but now that I know how to do it I hope I won't have to plead for assistance again.
All good wishes.

Query help needed: people married in Florida
I am trying to formulate a query which will show everyone in my data who was married in the
State of Florida, and their birthdates and marriage dates when available.
All suggestions gratefully received . . .

Re: View my family historian data online
John Cardinal's GedSite program makes web sites from FH7 data. The sites are viewable in any browser, including on cell phones. The site can be simple or elaborate, all under the user's control. See https://www.gedsite.com/en/index.htm. There's a link on that page to sample sites which one can inspe...

Marriage/Partner fact?
Among the thousand or so marriages I have in my data there are 18 domestic partnerships for which I have established a custom family event. FH7 seems to treat these partnerships like a marriage in every respect, but it seems that the GEDCOMs which result don't recognize partnerships in quite the sam...

Re: Using FH Family Trees on Independent Website
For "Plan B," you might want to consider using John Cardinal's GedSite program. Its charting options are extremely flexible and require less technical expertise than one might think. It integrates perfectly with Family Historian using the Export GEDCOM plug-in. Details at https://www.gedsite.com.

Re: Value field in an event tag?
Thanks, Mike. I'm already using GetLabelledText() in a few places. That's what I did with the Deportation (fam) tag you advised me on earlier. The events for which I need an additional field are not standard events. I have a custom Immigration (fam) attribute tag which I hope to use extensively. I d...

Value field in an event tag?
It would be helpful to have an additional field available for event tags. Is it possible to set up an event fact with a value field?
Any advice will be appreciated.

Indeed, E. Wilcock, it is a 1942 "transport" from Pithiviers that I need to document.
Mike, I understand that {_place2} won't signify; I can manage with {note}.
