Image Rotation
Having the ability to rotate an image once in Family History would be of great value. I make sure to rotate images in Windows Explorer so that the proper rotation is set before importing them into Family Historian. However, every now and then there is a stubborn image and no matter how many times I ...

Windows 11 Compatibility
Hi,
With the decommissioning of Windows 10 and the looming release of Windows 11, what is the compatibility of Windows 11 for Family Historian? If there are compatibility issues, I want to make sure I don't update to the new OS. Has anyone heard any news related to this?

Images
I've been curious about this for a while but never asked. If I run an Individual report or a Group Sheet report, the images don't seem to be in any particular order. It would be nice if they were associated with the fact in the report so that everything was together. However, if I have images attach...

Re: Tables spilling on top of images
My apologies, I was accessing the Individual Summary Report. I'll submit a ticket for this. Thanks for the assistance.

Tables spilling on top of images
I'm excited about the new word processor and it's new capabilities and tools. However, one issue I've run across and don't know how to resolve is when I add tables, they sometimes spill over onto displayed images. They especially do this for witnesses or children. I've also added tables, and then th...

Re: How to add surrogate children in a tree
Ha, sorry Mike. I shouldn't be doing genealogy until I'm fully awake. Yes, you answered my questions fully. Have a wonderful day.

Re: How to add surrogate children in a tree
Wonderful, thanks Mike. Also, how would I enter who the biological parents are for adopted children?

How to add surrogate children in a tree
I have a cousin and his wife that are about to have surrogate children. How do I add the children to the tree and be able to note who the birth parents are? There doesn't seem to be any notation in the system for surrogates. Thanks

Windows 10
It has recently been in the news that release date Windows 10 is this summer. it's a free upgrade for anymore running Windows 7 and higher. I would assume that since Family Historian runs well in a Windows 8 environment, it would also run in a Windows 10 environment. Has anyone heard of any confirma...

Re: TMG Import & extra code
Thank you everyone for the help. It's always stressful switching programs when you have 20 years of data. I did have a question about the Find and Replace. So, I'm finding the HTML text but what do I replace it with? Am I able to leave the field blank or just add a space? I'm not familiar enough wit...

Re: TMG Import & extra code
I used the direct import for TMG (The Master Genealogist). All my data ported over easily. However, through TMG you are able to customize the text in your events, i.e. HTML coding. So, on your report, you can have bold, italics, and other options. Since Family Historian is strictly text and not HTML...

TMG Import & extra code
I was previously a TMG user and I imported my program file to Family Historian. Everything looked good except there are bits of code in all my text files in Family Historian. I was going to manually delete them but I don't know how wide-spread they are in my data. Does anyone have any idea how to ge...
