Re: Can I stop these new Source etc pop-ups?
I don't ignore them, I just hadn't filled it in when I took the screen shot. Sometimes the NR 'town UD or RD' is far broader than the actual location - especially when comparing with Electoral Rolls - and needs checking. Plus urban borders change over time. And if there's a chance someone associated...

Thank you for that share.
This is what my workspace looks like - I find it quite efficient.

Re: Can I stop these new Source etc pop-ups?
Thanks for all that. I think I'll go with - shove it minimised into an unused corner and don't keep closing it. I've already put the record source bit back on the right where it belongs! All the details of the source go into the notes box, the primary source information for me is far more generic - ...

Can I stop these new Source etc pop-ups?
I use FH for a One-Name Study, and am finding the new Sources pop-up box in particular an annoyance whenever I attach one of my existing source records to a person. I am currently going through the 1939 National Registration for thousands of records. Is there a hidden check box somewhere I can turn ...

Can I change the default location of the fh. files?
I'm W10, FH6.2, but the way I back up my files automatically every night is from the D drive, and FH puts its files on the C. Therefore, I don't always remember, and I am fed up with accumulating new individual back-up files every day through FH's own back-up facility instead of overwriting the mast...

Re: Novice needs help with Brick Wall
Have you looked to see if the Guild of One Name Studies has anyone researching that surname? (They have - try contacting Alizon Holland french@one-name.org) No guarantee that their studies have got you your brick wall yet, but they might have something helpful, and could be a useful future contact f...

Sort siblings without parent(s)
Has anyone found a way to re-sort siblings in order of birth date in the focus page without knowing their parents?
This is something that is starting to crop up for me in the early 1910s when the birth mother's surname is given, but I don't yet know her forename or be sure who her spouse is.
