Re: Show Project Stats
Yes it is the same project. Ran it again and the plugin window appeared immediately, it was slow to form first time. It also show some Stats. Clicked on Update Statistics and it errored again. On the plus side the text handling is very much better even with Segoe UI, 8, only the wrapped check box te...

Re: Show Project Stats
Thanks again. Project Stats Test Version.JPG This came up as soon as the Plugin was run. OK'd this and then got this Lua error [string "C:\ProgramData\Calico Pie\Family Historian\Pl..."]:3631: attempt to index a nil value (field '?') stack traceback: [string "C:\ProgramData\Calico Pie\Family Histori...

Re: Show Project Stats
Thanks Mike.
Ok, so Total of all Exceptions Detected
Yes I used Set Windows Fonts and reduced it to 8.
Perhaps there would be space for the wrapping text if it was made two lines, full width?

Show Project Stats
Some guidance please. P Stats1.JPG P Stats2.JPG As you can see from the screenshots 1704 Exceptions have been found for the single criteria of Fact Age is negative However Close and Report doesn't provide a report, just closes the Plugin. I wonder what it is finding? Another minor issue is that some...

Re: Picture size in waterfall diagram
Thanks Mike.
The photo is a once hidden grave inscription of the individual so I elevated to an 'Individual' photo.
It is a crop of a larger image so more manipulation is not possible.
I hadn't looked into Within the text however it is just good enough to rebalance the text and photos.
Thanks again

Picture size in waterfall diagram
Is there a way to size an individual picture in this diagram?
I have just one image that because it is 'letter box' shape, it obscures all the text in the box.
I have found the 'Maximum Picture' control in Options>Pictures can size it correctly but then it makes all the others too small.
Thanks

Re: Report of all individuals with similar Last Name
I think my question was clearly put, twice. Not knowing that they were created on the fly but seeing them as a Column choice in a query plus seeing them in the result set, led me to believe they were stored data. The ideal place to see them would be the Individuals Record Window, then I might be abl...

Re: Report of all individuals with similar Last Name
I wanted to see what FH has recorded as Soundex codes for other Individuals.
Or to put it another way, are the codes visible in FH without running a query?

Progressing well with a Soundex Custom Query, thanks for the suggestion.

Re: Report of all individuals with similar Last Name
I have started trying to write a Custom Query using Soundex to filter the individuals, it seemed a good thing to learn.
I've downloaded a query that could be a starting point, where should I save it so FH can list it?

I will explore both of your suggestions, but having done neither, it will be after reading some of the KB.

Re: Report of all individuals with similar Last Name
Thanks Mike. I will get Excel to do it first then manually, by side by side comparison of the Tables. Finally adding the markers myself. I am not familiar with LUA so could you help me with it please? For example if I wanted to find all the Last Names that are variants of Brown. Say: Browne, Brownne...

Report of all individuals with similar Last Name
I want to update my Excel Table of Preliminary/Research data with a marker to show that, that individual in already in FH. I have looked in FH and the Plugin Store, without success, for a report I can run that will: List all individuals with a similar Last name, i.e. allow wildcards. Give their key ...

Re: Reading 17th Century Parish Records
The information in these links gave me a good insight to the use of 'alias', particularly in the West Country.
Hope it helps others.

Re: Reading 17th Century Parish Records
Thanks everyone.
I am adding all my 'finds' into a spreadsheet in the hope I can sort them into family groups. Seems to be the best way of connecting individuals when the entries are limited in information. Still a bit of guesswork though !

Re: Reading 17th Century Parish Records
Thanks all, it is much clearer now, apart from the two Last Names!
This is a slightly larger clip and has all the document has of that particular hand.

Re: Reading 17th Century Parish Records
Whoa, brilliant
Though not sure I understand 'Maria Small alias Ballamye being a bastard child' part.
Were they naming the father by having two Last Names?

Reading 17th Century Parish Records
Has anybody any suggestions for guides to understanding/reading 17th Century hand writing? This is an example of what I am faced with in a 1621 Parish baptism record: Clip.jpg "James #### of Maria #### Ballamy #### a ##### ##### was ###### ### ###th day of November #### ####" And I am not sure of ev...

Understood, Media (Marriage Certificate) linked to a Source with its Citations linked to the Family. Apologises if my terminology is not correct and for being economical with my replies.

Re: Book Image ~ Where linked?
Thanks again Mike. Yes I just snipped the Data Ref Where Used part to anonymise it.
I think it has could have come about as I originally had Marriage Certificates as Individual Media links and then learnt they should be Family linked. I will explore a little more using your explanations.

Thanks Mike.
The Where Used Record Links plugin shows that the Certificate is linked to both the Individuals and the Family, i.e. 3 links. How should I proceed from here, unlink the media from the two individuals?

Book Image ~ Where linked?
I have been playing around generating a Book and found an image of a Marriage Certificate appears to one of the individuals in the Descendants by Generation Narrative section, which I don't want. I first thought it was because it was in the Media collection for them but it isn't, it is where it shou...
