Each "type" of record has its own Record ID sequence, so Source Records, Family Records, etc each have a Record ID auto assigned by FH from their own "group" of numbers. Bear in mind, in relation to your specific example, a Source record can be "linked" to multiple Individual records.

I've been offline for a few days so only just picked up this stream, but for the record I also cannot drag and drop JPEG files from File Explorer - I just get a "No Entry" sign when the mouse pointer reaches the relevant FH window. I use FMP both via the hints in FH and directly (aith my account) and am also finding failures / very slow running during the times you mention - I suspect FMP might need to improve their hardware, especially if they continue offering free access

At a guess, I would say you have input an Individuals name without a surname (e.g. Anne // ) - this gives the result you mention.

I wouldn't necessarily delete the Informant information if you can't get the formatting right (I spent quite a few weeks working through this when I migrated from TMG so share your frustrations!). I regularly use the Plugin "Clone any Record" to achieve this. It does not call it (using your example) "Source A (Copy)", but instead repeats the name of the source I copied. However, a quick Sort on Sources by descending ID shows the "new" record at the top of the screen.
