You are on the right track Tatewise.. Looked in Preferences>Property Box>Colours ......and there under Items is the ability to choose Timeline Fact Background . With this selected a suitable shade/colour selected applied and okayed all is now much clearer to see within the Property Box Facts pane......

Hi Again Have double checked a number of things in FH v6 to no avail and then I thought to check my screen settings.
