Thank you, yes I've deleted the Data 1 plug-in now.

Data Entry 1 as:

I appear to have 2 plugs in for the above, 1 ordinary AS Sources Data Entry and 1 that says Data Entry 1? What is the difference between these 2?

Since my computer crashed completely, I've been trying to catch up on my plug in information. I've added _Witness to the Marriage template but it only appears in the Generic marriage not in the parish marriages 1837-? Maybe you can tell me where I'm going wrong?

Do you remember how I customised AS?

I remember that too Mike. I did backup the project and AS but as my old pc completely crashed and I had to buy a new one I couldn't properly locate the backups. Fortunately after much searching and frustration I found my main project but not the sample one or AS?

I used to have on AS records of witnesses at marriages, births, etc, but since I replaced my pc these seem to have stopped being shown. Can you remind me how to get these please?

I don't suppose it matters whether I have the sample project?

Have changed my mind and returned to FH7 for time being as my project seems to have appeared in the project window, maybe shutting down and restarting it found itself? The sample project isn't there though?

As no reply and finding this whole thing too complicated, I'm going to abandon FH and use Legacy instead.

Now found way to get to alphabetical order.

Further to this my project doesn't appear in the project window?

At last have followed the instructions properly I think Reloaded FH7 and logged in to it, restored the settings and the media files which are on the portable L drive now.
Seems OK now but the tree is not showing the surnames in alphabetical order?

Thought so Mike! However, I've reinstalled FH7 as the report said but it only gives the sample project-I can use the Tools on that but surely there is no point doing that for the sample project; if I delete that project, I can't use the tools at all?

I've just bought a new pc , added FH7 to it as well as AS. I uploaded my gedcom for my project and added the media. When I exit FH7 the back up is nothing like what I had before, it used to be 9 GB but now its only backing 10 files and is about 10 KB-where am I going wrong? The tree itself has 31592...

FH7 seems to want to upload my media from the C drive download folder but I'd prefer it to upload from E drive download folder. I can't see a way to do this in the preferences or am I missing something?

Mike, I'm concerned that if I put a new fact into my tree and enter a Generic Type more than once, it may cause reports to show say more deaths than there actually are?

Hi Mike, I'm looking in particular at Generic types for individuals. For example, a death from the GRO gives a quarter date, then later a probate record which gives an exact date and then a burial site like Find a Grave that gives an exact date. As we type these newer records into FH7 we could easil...

Regarding Generic Types, is it possible that some of us including me may have duplicated or more the bmds when entering the type each time we add a bit more research? If this is the case can a query be set up to find the surplus types for the individuals in FH7?

Sorry Lorna I thought it was yours! However I can't access the family records on FH7 so can't use that system, is there another way to do it?

Has the system for merging identical families changed? When I go through Lorna's video I can't get to family links from record links?
