Is there anyway of getting rid of MyHeritage hints from the program? I don't want to subscribe to it as it costs too much.

Re: news item linking Calico Pie and MyHeritage
As Calico Pie is a UK based program, I wonder why they didn't use FMP or GenesReunited to team up with rather than MyHeritage which is quite expensive compared with the latter? I for one dont't like MH -they're always badgering you to join!

Merging people
I've just found that one of my relations is now married twice to the same lady. I've deleted the duplicate children from the 2nd set but still have what looks like 2 marriage partners for both of them-how do I stop this? I've merged the 2 couples into one couple but still shows as before.

Re: Add additional children to census entry?
I've another but similar problem. just entered the 1871 census for a male ancestor who remarried on AS, then just as I'd saved it I noticed that it was showing him as a Widower instead of married-how can I amend this?

Re: Auto texting
I tried to use the restored back ups but nothing happened other than an error reported. I've amended the AS census auto texting to tab and that seems OK now.
Suppose it's no use crying over spilled milk, what do I do now so that this doesn't happen again?

Re: Auto texting
Yes I'm using the census auto grid text box. My pc was causing me problems. I've some back ups of As in my documents which say Back Ups, logs and Settings-can I use any or all of them to rectify the program? I didn't change the settings for AS or FH5, all I did was to re download the FH5 program and...

Auto texting
Last week I had my windows 7 renstalled on my pc. Since then when I run AS which I had to re download as well as FH5, the auto texting shows commas after the names and has condensed the text so that it takes a longer while than before for me to manually redo it.

Sources v Citations
I know I've been down this route before but having looked at the tutorials, I cannot see what the difference is between a citation and a source? When I add a new person to my tree, I press 'add citation' and enter the title of the source and the address of the source if necessary, then in enter in t...

Very good publishing reports but a few of mine give sources as Ibid.
What does this mean? Have I done something wrong when creating the source text?

Re: Emigration Facts from FTM
You have it correct Mike. where it say's Place=Austrailia, where it says To=nothing or England which is the reverse of what it should be.

Emigration Facts from FTM
Is there or could there be set up an emigration plug in that reverses the text. Currently my Ftm program has been translated to FH5 but on import has reversed the people's emigration. So instead of going from England to Canada, NZ, USA,Oz, etc, it shows them coming to England! Failing that perhaps a...

Before saving the media items, in the Census tutorial video the guy set the size to 65% -is that the best value or can it be smaller or bigger?

Re: Media
Tried that, looked good but came up with Q1 "Bet Jan-Mar" on the first one it found. Does it matter that the string in inverted commas also includes the year for every qtr for every person

Re: Media
Before I used FTM, I had a smaller program from famtree which used quarters like FH5 does but when I went to FTM they wanted the qtrs changed to bet jan-mar, bet apr-jun, bet jul-sep, bet oct-dec for all the years. When I uploaded the ged com from FTM to here it put all these into inverted commas eg...

Re: Media
I tried the PAF plug in with the small back up but it didn't change anything, I've still got over 9300 records with inverted comma dates! I've deleted the spurious project from yesterday as it didn't have as many records as my one I've used today so I think all my media items are intact now. Thanks ...
