Attached screen shot which is better than some I've seen!
Also when I log into fmp on fh, it doesn't remember it for the next time!

Sometimes their hints appear but are hardly readable-is there any reason for this? I have a sub to FMP so really shouldn't be a membership problem.

Yes Mike I've been doing exactly that but sometimes when I return to the Individual records window, I find the filter blank and the records start again with A? This doesn't happen all the time, it seems to depend on how long I spend researching/updating the name.

Is there a way of researching a name via the Individual Records and when you've finished updating that record and the family if one, to go back to the Individual's Record and see the next one in alphabetical order in the list instead of re inputting the surname again?

OK sorry. But there is no country-bias in auto-filling with place names. What you are seeing must be just chance.

Had a reply from Calico Pie regarding above, they said: We're puzzled by this. FH does take into account your current location, but it gets its information about your location from Windows. It's OK I've sorted it out now.

Anyone else noticed that since the update when researching individuals in a family name, you can't go back to the original surname but get sent to the a-z names?

Thank you very much for putting me straight, now I've found the template download all should be well. Adrian, FMP made a dogs breakfast of the search facility when they took over the site from the previous owners so it's hardly surprising that they messed up the census refs! Neither Ancestry nor FMP...

We need an additional plug in for the above as the ref id's are different to the standard ones for the UK; also there are no images for them on Ancestry or FMP so cannot save an image?

So I'm not the first! I've contacted Support at Calico Pie so perhaps they'll change it next time round, he said hopefully!

I've noticed since downloading the upgrade to FH6 that when I type in a place that it auto fills by default to American places whereas most of my places are in the UK-is there a way of changing the default?

I run AS from within FH as a plug in from the list.

At the time AS crashed FH, I was closing it to save Alfred W Shearman's 1939 register to FH6 which it didn't do. Attached the validation report and log which only found 2 errors on media but I could find nothing wrong with Nellie's record. As to living persons, there aren't usually any confidential ...
