Auto text
When we fill in the form for say a marriage and then press auto text, where does the text end up after we save the document and exit AS and go to FH7? I wonder as sometimes the old records are not very clear and sometimes I record the wrong name or place-can it be corrected?

Finding blanks
I've noticed that sometimes when I 'copy and paste' records especially in a rush, there are blank spaces that appear before the main text, for example '--------Bricklayers labourer'. Is there a way to find these blanked texts?

Re: Duplicated families again?
I set the records window up to show 'families' as a tab as you suggested but it still didn't work when I used 'go to.'
However, when I went to 'View' and selected 'Other Record lists' and selected 'Families' I got the option to merge the 2 families which I did successfully.

Re: Duplicated families again?
Yes, I did that but on the way noticed that at the bottom it says All. It still doesn't work by just pressing go to-I get nothing no record window whatsoever!?

Duplicated families again?
Since the update to FH7 has the way of merging duplicated families changed? I followed Colevalleygirl and Jane's video but when I opened the record links, I pressed to go to All and I was unable to go to the family record for the person in question?
So am stuck!

Re: Scottish Reports
I've already got one custom query for deaths in Sussex and can change it to East Lothian but can't seem to change the Query heading from Sussex to EL, also the surnames don't appear in alphabetical order-is there a way to do these things? Bear in mind that I'm a technophobe when it comes to messing ...

Scottish Reports
I recently acquired some CDs of East Lothian church gravestones and wonder if it is possible to create a report of 'deaths in East Lothian or Scotland' preferably in alphabetical order?

Re: Google Drive
I've managed to do that and it had 1.3 GB in it, Mike and I saw also in the same thumbnail cache that FMP and My Heritage have items there too. Would it be OK to delete them as well especially as this seems to cause the FMP and MH 'hints' not to work at times? When you go to the FH7 page regarding t...

Re: Google Drive
My project is as you say, Mike at E:\Documents\Google Drive\Family Historian Projects folder. The Google Cloud Drive syncs with it I guess as I use FH7 to add more people, facts and media about them. As I input each person, fact, census, photo, etc, the arrow in the cloud in my toolbar rotates and w...

Google Drive
As you suggested Mike, I now have my main project on Google's Drive which now takes up 17.1 GB and it syncs every time I add a new person, fact, etc, which can be annoying as it interferes with my current additions. Is there a way to make it sync when I've finished adding to my project at the end of...

Re: missing sex
My thought was that on FH, males are presented on the left and females on the right, so it might figure that out? Also is there a query for same-sex couples?

Re: Scottish Marriages
Hi Nick,
You have the registered date, place and name on the Scottish death template so why not add it to the marriage one or if you show me how to do it, I'll do it on just mine?

Re: Scottish Marriages
I know where the blanks appear, Lorna. Why can't I be allowed to add the necessary text in to the template to show who registered it and when? Sometimes it's helpful to know if the registrar was an ancestor of mine?

Re: Scottish Marriages
Hi Nick,
This always seems to occur on Scottish marriages 1856- and my having a large Scottish ancestry surely it can't be too difficult to add it to the one template or if you're too busy maybe you could show me how to do it?

Photo dates
When I add photos to my tree in the Media section for a person, not only do I have to 'edit' it by adding the date of it but if one photo say shows a gravestone with several people on it, the original date stays on for all the people which is obviously untrue. Is there a way around this or do I have...
