Text from Source
Going through changing 1881 Census to Census as Generic term, I've noticed that some of the source citations show the whole family, name, m/f, age and job as shown in the actual census in the 'text from source' ; shouldn't this just show the reference numbers for the census?

Re: Citations-Generic type
Yes I realise that, Mike, but would it hurt the record system in FH if there was an 1881 Census as a generic type?

Re: Citations-Generic type
Would it make any difference to the records if I kept a generic type as 1881 census? The Lost Cousin's author asks us to add our ancestors who were on the 1881 Census to his site and that could be a helpful way of finding those ancestors?

Citations-Generic type
It seems that inadvertently I set up a generic type as '1881 Census.' I've tried to avoid adding anything to it but it appears that it has 5000 plus now and when I look at some of the citations the generic type is shown as 1881 Census rather than the actual type. Is there a way to list these so as t...

Re: Printing descendant reports
I'm sure that the latest update has changed the way printing is done. I've done nothing to the program and this is the first time that I've tried to print a report! The only way I can do it now is via the file, print option which is most unsatisfactory! Is it possible to roll back the update to how ...

I've found that using www.rootschat.com which is free is very helpful for NZ records especially newspapers and obits.

Re: Alphabetical?
Looked at those options but the husband's names box wasn't checked, it defaulted as blank so is weird that it showed Georgianna's husband in the list?

Re: Alphabetical?
Strangely when I looked at Georgianna Groves in the list when I press the + sign it shows her name first then underneath her husband's name and surname, so there are 2 lines within the list for her name?

Re: Alphabetical?
I don't actually produce the list as it is part of FH7. When I open FH7 there is a document icon (Individual Records-Records Window) on the left of the screen and the list starts with surnames beginning with A descending to Z which is fine but when I pressed K it gave me what I showed. Now it seems ...

Plug in for addresses
Is there or could there be a plugin or query to show all the addresses of the people in my tree at birth, baptism, marriage, death, censuses, residences, etc? Due to an error on AS at some stage it shows the whole address including the town, country and country in the address line as well as the act...

I looked there but when I right-click on the relevant repository name (it is 1st in the list), it only says sort ascending or descending, or add to bookmarks?
