Re: Problem with Export Gedcom File Plugin
Mike,
I ran the check installed plugins against the store without a problem. Other plugins appear ok, and help opens in each of them.
I opened the web search window ok.
I'm afraid I couldn't find the Write Reg IE Shell Version in the plugins?

Re: Problem with Export Gedcom File Plugin
Sorry Mike - short of info! I use it regularly (at least once a week) without a problem - I'm using Ver 3 - updated 16 Sep - I also used the update plugins today just to be sure. I'm running Windows 10 on a very good BT connection - I have had a couple of Windows updates since I last used it - that ...

Problem with Export Gedcom File Plugin
Hi,
I've just tried (several times) to export my gedcom file using the plug in.
Each time, it shows the plugin as "running" but the programe freezes and I have to close it and re-start - any thoughts?

Error Message - Using Export Gedcom
I've now tried a couple of times to export a gedcom and each time I've received this message: [string "C:\ProgramData\Calico Pie\Family Historian\..."]:1280: UTF-16 outside Basic Multilingual Plane stack traceback: [C]: in function 'error' [string "C:\ProgramData\Calico Pie\Family Historian\..."]:12...

Re: Internet Data Match
Mike, Now that you mention it (!) It is quite likely that when I decided to back up all my data to One Drive, I may have somehow, as you say, "upset" the project structure. And there I was thinking I was being efficient! I will now revisit this section of my system (will have to be later this week n...

Re: Internet Data Match
It does indeed say gedcom. Why then would I have been seeing the matches? (Must admit it's a while since I last saw it - only just realised it wasn't showing!
Slightly off topic then - can I convert the gedcom to a Project?

Re: Negative Age Display
That would be marvellous - I think "0" would be best as it is then in line with the other ages?

Re: Negative Age Display
Lorna,
Yes thanks - I'm aware of that - but I've got 33,000+ in my FH programme - I want (if possible) a quick way to do it?

Negative Age Display
I'm trying to clean up my gedcom and would like to change all the negative dates shown in my FH programme. Currently, if a person is born and dies in the same Quarter the resultant age is shown in brackets e.g. "(aged -1-0)" - I would prefer this to be shown as "(0)" is this possible with the plug-i...

Export to Gedcom
Hi,
I've recently tried to export a gedcom (1.8) and as soon as I hit "Run" the program freezes.
I updated to version 1.9 and am having the same problem?
Any ideas?

Re: Gedcom is Massive
Mike,
The plugin worked well - many thanks. Not easy for a dinasaur like to me sort, but was pointed in the right direction.
I can understand now how the size of the programe has increased - not least the geocodes which is a brilliant addition.
Again, many thanks.

Gedcom is Massive
Since I upgraded to FH6, on saving my gedcom it is now 58.6MB! I only learned it was this big when I tried to update my TNG website - and it couldn't cope - it also deleted all the names off my TNG site. I have of course still got all my information in FH6, but how do I reduce the size of my gedcom ...

Re: Internet Matching
Mike,
I have just done a reinstall - I have 2 trees set up - one of my own family, and one for my One-Name Study (ONS) - my own family one links ok, but my ONS still does not link!
Now I am confused!

Re: Internet Matching
Jane, Yes - I did try that - I did that without success! Under the heading Data Internet Matches - most of the boxes are "greyed out" - and shows "Disable" against Match Types Required. On trying "installation settings" it changes to "All matches" - I apply and then OK but if a I leave that page and...
