I'm still trying to understand what the benefits are vs the cost of reduced portability with other genealogy programs. Yes, portability is certainly a concern when it comes to the handling of sources. I use 3 other programs (in addition to FH) that each have a different scheme for source templates....

I had some time to do further testing. Using SOUR.DATA.NOTE2 for citation data, does create issues with third party applications. Generally, notes under the Source Data section are combined with those in the general Source notes section. So although, it looks good in FH, it is not so good elsewhere....
