Merging Source Records
Rather stupidly I have set up and used two Source Records with the same name, i.e. 1841 Census. I have allocated data against each of these and now wish to merge them so that I end up with only one "1841 Census" Source Record to allocate future data against. Is it possible to do this? Thanks for any...

Re: Synch FH on two Laptops
Thank you so much Mike for your quick reply to my query. I will take a look at the areas you suggest before progressing further. Is there a recommended cloud storage that works well with FH - I have a lot of my research files on Google Drive but am reluctant to use that for FH because of my past pro...

Synch FH on two Laptops
I now have two laptops that I would like to automatically synchronise with the latest added records. I used Google Drive in the past but had a lot of problems so stopped using it. Can anyone recommend where and how I can hold my FH data so that I can access it on either laptop. Thanks.

Re: FH 6.2.5 crashing problem
It seems from all the recent comments that something adverse is happening with the 6.2.5 version of the program over the past couple of weeks. Maybe this should be investigated by the technical team as several people are experiencing problems with the program crashing.

Re: FH 6.2.5 crashing problem
Have had the same error message many times apart from my latest program crashing with Google Drive. Very frustrating especially when a lot of data has been added before the crash.

Re: FH 6.2.5 crashing problem
Re two files.... this is because I only managed to take the screen shots in the 2017 file before it crashed completely. I had to re-open as 2018 and then when that crashed again, I took the other screen shot. Bit confusing, but the same problem.

FH 6.2.5 crashing problem
You may have seen my topic "How to recover etc" posted yesterday following a program crashing problem. The crash has happened three times this evening whilst adding notes to my file and saving. Error messages attached. Note in image 3 that the file "last updated" date has automatically become 01/01/...

Re: How to recover a gedcom file after FH apparent crash??
Hi Mike The only option that would work for me was the Knowledge Base Backup & Restore option. Sadly the exact problem has just happened again whilst entering data. Very frustrating. I hope to be able to catch the initial error message if and when it happens again, as clearly there is an underlying ...

How to recover a gedcom file after FH apparent crash??
Whilst entering data into one of my family files, the program came up with an error message and had apparently crashed. When I tried to log back into the file, another error message came up. I then tried to go into backed-up files from the previous days but the same error message comes up, basically...

Emailing a Family History project file
I have tried to send a Family Historian project file to a relative in New Zealand but he cannot open it. See comment below. Layout of All Relatives diagram
In an All Relatives diagram, some relatives do not appear in the same line as their brothers/sisters, but appear slightly below. I'm not sure if this is to save space in the display, but I would like these to stretch out across the diagram so that they stay in line in the same generation bands. How ...
