Re: Change properties tabs
A better approach may be to wait, albeit patiently, for a later version of the excellent Ancestral Sources, which will handle all these Probate facts and link them consistently to the appropriate Individual records. Peter, I agree that it would be great in Ancestral Sources and would like it there ...

Re: Change properties tabs
Mike Thanks for your continued help. Now back to where I should be. The fields I would like in the Probate Fact are Date Probate Granted: Location of Probate Office: Date of death: Deceased condition: (Spinster etc) Address of deceased: Late of: Probate Granted to: Address: Relation to deceased: Con...

Re: Change properties tabs
Mike You were right I hadn't installed the Burial. I now have and it has completely screwed the properties box. See below. 4.JPG No only that in the Facts list I don't have the same as you this is what I have 5.JPG However if I change the Fact set from all to Death or Burial 1 then I see this 6.JPG ...

Re: Change properties tabs
Thanks Lorna I will give that a go.
Given what you said about Admon and Probate the template for Probate does not reflect what is normally recorded then as some of the fields in Admon are appropriate to Probate too but aren't there.

Re: Change properties tabs
No problem with the install at all it works as per the instructions.
If you enter admon and probate it only saves one or the other to the fact tab.
Back to the original question though how do I add it as its own tab?

Re: Change properties tabs
Mike Thanks for the response so far. This is what I have at the moment. 1.JPG What I want to do is to replace the Wills tab (or add another tab) that has the Probate Fact attached to the tab. This is rather than selecting Add a Fact and then scrolling down and selecting probate. I would just like a ...

Is it possible to change the properties tabs?
I have very few Wills but do have quite a lot of Probate records, is it therefore possible to get rid of the Wills tab and replace it with Probate?

Re: FH running on Wine
I have given up on Wine & Wine Bottler, I just couldn't get FH to package. I have however bought the commercial version of Wine called Crossover. This packaged V5 flawlessly and it runs fine on my MACBook Air. The last challenge is getting plugins to run. Has anyone had any success with this as I wi...

Re: From PAF to Rootsmagic
You are on the Family Historian User Group forum.
You make no mention of FH in your post only PAF and Rootsmagic.
If this is about FH you will have to repost with a proper description otherwise you will need to go to Rootsmagic support.

Re: FH running on Wine
Mike I have emailed Peter. He got it running on Linux rather than a MAC. I will wait and see if he has any suggestions. I am not so worried about the printing at the moment as I still have a PC and only want to run it on my MacBook Air which I use as my laptop of choice. Hopefully the printing will ...

Re: FH running on Wine
An update on this. I could not get FH v5 to install using Wine Bottler. It got halfway through the Wine creation process and then started the FH installer. It shouldn't do this it should only start the installer when told to after the first stage of creation has completed. I have spent several hours...

They are identical for the name and place the date is 1863 for one and 1863(app) for the other in the properties window.
The points output is attached. All the remaining points boxes are zero.

How to tweak Find Duplicates?
Is there a way I can tweak the Find Duplicate plugin to do the following? I am researching the Lefever / Lefevre surname for a one-name study. The problem that I have is that the spelling of the surname changes depending on the record so the same person can and does, in a lot of cases, use one or mo...

Anne I use Heredis on my iPad Mini (oh for FH on the iPad) and I have two FH gedcoms in it. One my personal ancestry and the second my UK One-Name Study. You just load your Gedcom file in and then on opening Heredis you have to convert it which is a quick process. I have no experience of the others ...

Re: Local Notes not saving to .csv file
I will let the FH experts answer your particular problem but I will offer an alternative. Heredis for the iPad is free and you can just load your FH gedcom file into it. I use this way to have my data with me when I am out and about. The only caveat I will say is that I don't have extensive notes fi...

Re: Word Cloud Experiments
Thanks to Peter's comments I found where it stores the output and like him the problem is where the surname is unknown I had just :55 in the html. Ran the script with that line and got the error message. Removed the line and it runs fine.
