i am using xp and version 3 fh

i have tried opening it in fh but it tells me the file extension is not recognised.

I am not that computer literate so this has become a big headache.

Hi Jon Thanks for answering. What im trying to do is send my newly found half brother a copy of all the information i have so far. But he does not use gedcom files. I think he is compiling the tree in an autocad program. As you amy have gathered im not great on computing but i'll give anything a go....
