Just wondering what others do if you have a record with a lot of photos 20, 30, 50 or more? You could associate some photos with events and facts but these categories can't cover everything. The only other solution is to put them all in multimedia, in which case you produce a long list of photos tha...

I don't see this requested but it is something I would love - a drop down menu(or some sort of menu) of the last 5, 10 etc. (customizable to whatever number)records viewed, even if the records weren't edited.

Thanks, I wasn't aware of AS, I'll have to start using that.

When entering a new multimedia object the default keyword is picture. Is there any way to change that? E.g. you're entering a number of objects with a different keyword.

I added an adopted parent (man adopted a child)and that parent has become a relative i.e. grandfather, great gf of succeeding generations. Can this be changed, as he is not a blood relative of anyone in the tree? His wife is not in the tree either.

Is there any way to batch set or change a keyword for all the images in a given folder? E.g. if I have a number of images in a folder called 'headstones' can I set the keyword for all those images to be headstone without having to do it one by one?

HI, I'm having the same problem. I have UDFs but they don't show up in the source section of the change any facts tag plugin. If so, you should be able to change them using the Change Any Fact Tag Plugin.
Try its Other Records tab and select Record Type: as Source.
Does the Source Tag Set: list ?
Then the Source Tag Name: should list your UDF.

I must be missing something but what does this search? Where are the 'text fields', 'long text' , 'names' found? I always get 'not found'. If I put in my first name I get 'not found.' If I open a note in a record and copy a word then enter that word I get 'not found.' What is this plug-in looking at...

I am using ancestry.com and my goal is to update my tree there and import it into FH. One problem is that the ancestry gedcom contains notes that I don't want. For example, you can't export multimedia from ancestry.com but if a record has a media object, the gedcom will export a note with a http:// ...

I realize now what was going on is that I was trying to import a gedcom with a field like Birth: before 1860. FH needs it to be in the form of: bef 1860, otherwise the field will display
'before 1860' with quotations.

I'm sure this is not the right term but these are little circles with what looks like rays of light coming off of them.

I tried using a gedcom from http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/
but it wasn't very compatible with FH? Is there any way to DL FH-friendly gedcoms, e.g. of royal families that may go back very far and would be extremely tedious to create generation by generation.

When adding a spouse or child the dialogue box asks for either a new entry or an existing link. I have never used the existing link option, is there any way for that choice to not be displayed when adding children or spouses? I'm basically looking to eliminate a mouse click.
